Slim plug-in isolated signal conditioner

The MS3700 Series is a line of slim signal conditioners (size: W29 × H86 × D125 mm, including the socket) that offers isolated single or dual output with high reliability and high accuracy.

Conformal coating

Coating is not only resistant to accidental exposure to corrosive gas or oily smoke, but has a number of benefits contributing to long-term reliability. It avoids direct exposure to air to protect printed circuit boards and electronic parts against humidity, moisture, dust, chemicals, and thermal stress, thereby preventing corrosion, migration and any other damages. (HumiSeal® 1A27NSLU is used as a conformal coating. ) * This will be optional at extra cost, starting with orders placed on November 1, 2022.

Gold-plated contact parts

To achieve high reliability and durability, the contact parts of the main unit and socket are plated with gold of 0.2 μm in thickness. This prevents not simply wear caused by insertion and removal of the unit, but contact degradation even in harsh environments to ensure high reliability for a long period.

Drop-proof screws employed

The screws employed eliminate the need to care about dropping them during the wiring work. Besides, the M3.5 screws are one size larger than those for competitive products of the same grade, which makes field wiring much easier.

Ceramic capacitors employed

This series employs ceramic capacitors to achieve low current draw with extremely low heat generation, thus leading to long service life. (The ceramic capacitors are not affected by prolonged use, as opposed to aluminum electrolytic capacitors.)*5 。

Multi-turn trimmers employed

This series employs multi-turn trimmers for zero and span adjustments. Our conventional series have used 3-turn or 4-turn trimmers, but the multi-turn trimmers employed facilitate fine adjustment and provide improved resistance to vibration. The new trimmers also have static protection.

Close mounting

The MS3700 Series design is such that the width of the socket is 4 mm (2 mm each side) larger than that of the main unit. Even if you mount two or more sockets side by side, there should always be a clearance between the modules, thereby preventing a rise in temperature around them.

Equipped with set value indicator LED

Several models, including ratio/bias converters, alarm setters and a manual setter, are equipped with a set value indicator LED.*6

Set values are adjustable with the front accessible switches

For user-configurable signal conditioners, including function modules, math computation modules and alarm setters, the factors or alarm settings can be easily changed only with the front-accessible switches. No hand-held terminal required. Simple to use and efficient!

Distributor provided with a transmitter power supply switch

The 3707 distributor (with isolation) has a transmitter power supply switch on its front panel. Turning this switch off allows the distributor to be used as an isolator for adjustment. If you have not yet decided whether to use a distributor or an isolator at the design phase, you should select this model so that it can be used for both applications. (Note that the terminal connections are different depending on whether the unit is used as a distributor or an isolator.) (The non-isolated model, MS3737 also includes a transmitter power supply switch.)
